IT Business (6cr)

Objective

After the course the students
1) have a good overview of the history of the ICT sector, as well as of its future and enterprise types
2) recognise the competitive and success factors of ICT enterprises
3) have a basic knowledge of entrepreneurship and the opportunities it offers
4) are able to map the business opportunities of their own field and/or enterprise and to create an (imaginary) business plan.

Content

The aim is to integrate and deepen the contents of former courses. Entrepreneurship in ICT is introduced with the help of a business game and cases (visits, guests). At the end of the course, the students produce a business plan for a chosen company.

Demonstration of active participation and competence based on the entity of completed assignments, learning diaries, company visits, and exam
