Advanced Knowledge of IT (5cr)

Objective

Written and oral presentation skills are acquired through seminar work. The students practice searching, evaluating, selecting and processing information and communicating essential contents in written and oral form to the other participants. The students also learn assessment when acting as opponents to other students’ presentations.

Content

The presentations provide in-depth analyses of specific topical themes of IT from the perspective of data processing. The source materials are mainly in English, and data is collected primarily from electronic sources (databases). Written presentations are based on self-directed study. A virtual learning environment is used in follow-up and guidance.

Basic knowledge of hardware, IT systems and software, and basic oral and written communication skills

Overall demonstration of competence based on written report, oral presentation and presentation material, and English abstract
