Objective
The students are able to identify and distinguish culture-specific features in various music genres. They understand the importance and processes of human creativity in different music cultures, the roots of modern music and how musical styles are related to each other.
Content
The course introduces various aspects essential for understanding the music cultures of the world. It defines the world of music as processes and as products. The course will concentrate on promoting local, national, ethnic and world-wide principles and ethics.
