Instrumental Didactics 4 (4cr)

Objective

The students command situations and tasks involved in the teaching of their instrument in accordance with the arts curriculum for the basic levels in their entirety, including the more advanced music institute levels. They are capable of carrying out comparable teaching tasks. They are acquainted with teaching material and repertoire and are capable of evaluating their suitability: He is oriented towards development of his work.

Content

The thematic of teaching in its entirety. Lesson planning and implementation, long term planning, evaluation and knowledge of available teaching material.

Qualifications

The students command situations and tasks in the teaching of their instrument at the basic music institue level. They are acquainted with the teaching material and repertoire used in the levels mentioned and are capable of evaluating the suitability of published material.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The supervising teacher's evaluation, which is suplemented by evaluation of visiting teachers. Areas of evaluation: general impression, musicianship, evaluation skills, reciprocal interaction skills, command of work habits, skills in individual guidance, ability to provide guidance in independent work, long term planning ability, own development and that of their student. The students take part in the evaluation through self-evaluation
