Objective
The students are familiar with the elements of music education and understand the diverse concepts connected with music learning. They are conscious of the significance of study plans as a basis for teaching. They are familiar with the activity of music institutes and with team work. They are capable of developing reflective teaching and understand the principles of portfolio work.

Qualifications
No prerequisites. The students describe their own departure point level at the beginning of the course
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
Portfolio evaluation: teacher's evaluation, co-student evaluation and self-evaluation. The students have formed for themselves a substantiated concept of the history of music education, its contents, concepts of learning, their meaning for society and the workers in the field. They show their on views, based on the sources and the work life contacts, of the knowledge and needs for music education necesities and of their own present abilities in a substantiated and organized way. The students work responsibly, follow given guidance and are able to take others into consideration.
