Objective
The students are able to analyse the factors affecting the wellbeing of a school community and understand the importance of health promotion within the entire school community. They are able to critically analyse their knowledge and skills related to the health, health risks and disorders of school-aged children and adolescents. They have interiorized an empowering approach as part of their work among school-aged children, young people, and their families. They master evidence-based public health nursing among school-aged children and adolescents. They are ready for a high-quality, development-oriented approach to work.
Content
The objectives and forms of operation in school and student health care, the wellbeing of a school community, the health profile of a school-aged child and adolescent, from health examination to health discussion, career selection and health, cooperation and networking, the functions of student health care and the role of public health nurse, the healthiness of a school/study environment, the quality and development of school/student health care
Qualifications
The basic knowledge and skills required for the nursing profession
