Objective
The students understand individual behaviour in a group, the various phenomena of group dynamics, the roles of group members and interactional relationships in a group. They know the principles of group observation and guidanceand are able to establish a therapeutic parthership in a group. The students know various ways of group guidance. The students know various groups and group work models of occupational therapy and they are able to use occupation in a group.
Content
Lectures on the phenomena of group dynamics, group guidance and observations, as well as on using occupation in a therapy group.
Group guidance exercises.
Qualifications
The students know the basic concepts and values of occupational therapy. They have a clear picture of the work of an occupational therapist. They know the basics of psychology.
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
Active participation in class and in group work, applying and deepening knowledge in written assignments.
