Objective

The student understands the impacts of climate change on the bioeconomy and society and is able to assess and apply adaptation measures at the local and global levels.
The student knows the principles of calculating the carbon footprint and carbon handprint and is able to interpret the carbon footprint in different contexts (products, organizations, lifestyles).
The student is able to assess methods for offsetting emissions and their reliability.
The student understands the importance of water resources and the challenges for their sustainable use.
The student is able to assess the water footprint and its impacts on the environment and society.
The student is able to know the principles of the blue bioeconomy and its potential for promoting sustainable development.
The student is able to describe the principles of the circular economy and apply them through practical examples.

(3) The student understands the factors affecting the bioeconomy and society from the perspective of climate change, water resource use and circular economy and is able to apply the knowledge to practice in their own field of specialization.
(4) The student is able to analyze and compare the factors affecting the bioeconomy and society from the perspective of climate change, water resource use and circular economy in their own field of specialization.
