Objective

The students will be able to :
- Fine tune their English language skills in reading, listening, use of structure, speaking and writing in preparation for the Cambridge CAE exam (optional).

Qualifications

European B2-C1 level of English. The first contact lesson will include a pretest to ensure the course prerequisite of B2+ level of English.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

5 The student shows an excellent level of English in the 5 CAE areas. This can be seen by the understanding and production of extended language on unfamiliar topics. Assignments are completed independently, on schedule and fulfill all requirements. He/she is extremely active in contact lessons.
4 The student shows a very good level of English in the 5 CAE areas. This can be seen by the understanding and production of extended language on unfamiliar topics with some difficulties. Assignments are completed independently, on schedule and fulfill most requirements. He/she s active in class.
3 The student shows a good level of English in the 5 CAE areas. This can be seen by the understanding and producion of language on unfamiliar topics with assistance. Assignments are completed mostly on time and fulifill many of the reuirements. He/she is sometimes active.
2 The student shows a basic level of Enlish in the 5 CAE areas. This can be seen by the understanding and production of genral language on familiar topics. Assignments are completed late and with reminders. Class participation is passive.
1 The student shows a minimal level of English in the 5 CAE areas. He/she struggles but manages to complete assignments. Class participation is weak.
0 The student does not show a passing level of English in the 5 CAE area. He /she does not complete the required assignments at a satisfactory level and his/her participation is lacking.
