Osaamistavoitteet

The students continue acquiring and applying functional language skills. The students broaden their cultural knowledge of Spanish speaking countries and they can apply it in everyday life. The students are can describe the past in Spanish.

Sisältö

Cultural and linguistic knowledge and skills required in interaction in everyday situations, e.g. daily routines, expressing opinion, clothes, weather, household, hotel, media and holidays. The key grammar consists of describing the past (perfect, imperfect and preterite verb forms).

5 (Excellent) The students can successfully deal with usual social encounters and routine conversations respecting cultural norms. They can communicate fluently and effortlessly on familiar subjects. They are able to write almost flawlessly on familiar topics. They can effortlessly understand standard spoken Spanish.

4 (Very good) The students effortlessly understand standard spoken Spanish and can successfully interact in typical everyday situations. They are able to write quite correctly on familiar topics. The students understand familiar texts without any effort. Pronunciation is good.

3 (Good) The students are able to successfully interact in various everyday situations related to their free time. They are able to write in a clear way and fairly correctly on familiar topics. They understand with little effort various texts on familiar themes. Pronunciation is quite good.

2 (Satisfactory) The students fairly effortlessly understand standard, clear Spanish related to familiar topics. With some effort they understand brief texts on topics they are familiar with. The students are able to deal with routine writing and speaking situations. The level of pronunciation is adequate for delivering the message.

1 (Sufficient) The students can deliver the message in an understandable way in simple and routine situations regardless of some deficiencies, both in speech and in writing. They understand the essential points of a slow, standard speech dealing with familiar topics. They understand simple texts. The problems in pronunciation do not excessively hinder comprehension.

If the student does not meet the minimum criteria set for the course, the grade is 0 (Fail).
