Objectives
Purpose of the course
Sustainable development, including e.g. measures that concern mitigating the climate change together with securing biodiversity and human rights, is a timely issue in our societies including the business world. The aim of this course is to cast light on the contents of ‘corporate responsibility’ (CR).

The students recognise the various dimensions; ecological, social (and economic) of corporate responsibility in in global economy. The students learn to understand responsibility from the viewpoint of different stakeholders and interest groups. They develop their own strategic thinking and are able to analyse the concept of responsibility on the basis of strategic considerations. They understand the ethical responsibilities of organisations.

You attempt to demonstrate your understanding of the key concepts and theoretical knowledge but fail to show a convincing ability to transform empirical data into applicable real-life situations. There is an attempt to create a situational analysis but based on it, the objectives and/or value remains unclear. You have challenges to communicate your findings in written in a structured form. There are issues in complying with JAMK reporting instructions.
Satisfactory 2
You demonstrate your theoretical knowledge at a reasonably clear level and have an obvious overall command of the subject area. Central concepts have been defined satisfactorily. You show a basic ability to transform empirical data into applicable real-life situations. A reasonably clear situational analysis has been created. You are able to communicate your findings in written form responsibly. There are some issues in complying with JAMK reporting instructions.

You demonstrate your theoretical knowledge at a relatively clear level and display a competent command of the subject area. Central concepts have been defined rather well. You show adequate but general ability to transform empirical data into applicable real-life situations. A relatively clear situational analysis has been created. You are able to communicate your findings in written form responsibly in a structured manner. There are some issues in
complying with JAMK reporting instructions.

You demonstrate your theoretical knowledge fluently and display a good command and understanding of the subject area. Central concepts have been defined very well.
