Objectives

Working in Finland is a practical training for foreign students at a company in Finland. It aims to introduce you, as a foreign student, to the work environment in Finland. It is recommended that the content of the practical training suits your career goals and develops your target competences.

The competences to be developed are operating in a workplace, ethics, and internationality and multiculturalism.

Operating in a workplace:
You interact constructively in teamwork at the workplace. You are result-oriented and able to overcome obstacles at the workplace.

Ethics:
You take responsibility for your own actions and their consequences and reflect on them in accordance with ethical principles and values.

Internationality and multiculturalism:
You operate effectively in international and multicultural work environments.

Content

The content of the practical training should suit your career goals and develop your target competences. You need to present the content of the practical training to the course teacher and seek the teacher's approval in advance. You need to submit a practical training contract and a practical training report.

On-the-job learning at the practical training workplace in Finland.

Practical training and working life connections

This is an internship for foreign students for four weeks at a company in Finland. You will find your internship places in Finland according to your career objectives. You will make a contract with the internship place after the content of your internship is approved by the course teacher.

Exam dates and retake possibilities

There is no exam. You need to submit the practical training contract and the practical training report.

International connections

This course is aimed at you as foreign degree students to familiarize you with the work life in Finland.

Alternative completion methods

You have the right to apply for recognition of prior learning for this course if you, as a foreigner, have prior work experience in Finland.
