Objective

The objective of the track is to equip you with concepts, methods and tools needed in innovation management including but not limited to product, service or process development. In particular the track focuses on Innovation Management. Emphasizing practical, evidence based techniques, methods and introducing relevant tools and resources, this course provides you with the knowledge base to successfully manage innovation, technology, and new product development. The holistic approach addresses the interplay between the markets, ecosystems, technology, and the organization, while relating the unique skill set required to manage innovation and innovation processes. The course offers also possibility to explore advanced topics including User-centered design (UCD) and User-centered innovation (UCI) as well as Open Innovation (OI).

Teaching methods

The primary mode of delivery is a combination of in-class activities and lectures. The in-class activities deepen the learning in the forms of tutorials, individual and group work, reflection and guidance.

Attendance for this course is mandatory. Participants must maintain a minimum attendance rate of 80% to successfully pass the course.

Completion alternatives

In general, there is no alternative way to complete the course other than the continuous online mode of this implementation. Recognition of prior learning can be granted only in exceptional circumstances, and it is at the lecturer's discretion to approve such arrangements. In practice, no recognition of prior learning has been issued to date by the lecturer in charge of this course.
