Objective

The object of the course
After completing this course, you will have comprehensive understanding of leadership and management. The purpose is to provoke interest towards leadership and management studies and leadership work.

Course competences
Business Competence: The student has a broad-based understanding of the business (marketing, services, management, finances, law, etc.). The student knows the central theories related to this specialization option. The student possess at least an advanced beginner's skills in the practical tasks of the specialization option.
Learning to learn: Student assesses and develops his/her competence and learning methods in different learning environments.

In this course, you will familiarize yourself with the development of management theories and the current aspects of leadership. You will learn the basic concepts of management and leadership and identify your own capabilities and motivation for managerial work.

Learning is guided both personally and in groups during the course classroom sessions and in the web-based learning environment. At the end of the course, personal feedback will be given on the personal learning assignment in connection with the assessment.
