You are able to explain the significance of leadership for organizations. You are able to apply basic concepts describing leadership and organizational functioning. You understand leadership theories and current areas of leadership practice. You understand your own capabilities and motivation for leadership work. You are able to work purposefully in a group and in cooperation with others.

You are able to apply basic concepts describing leadership and organizational functioning. Objective

The object of the course
After completing this course, you will have comprehensive understanding of leadership and management. The purpose is to provoke interest towards leadership and management studies and leadership work.

Course competences
Business Competence: The student has a broad-based understanding of the business (marketing, services, management, finances, law, etc.). The student knows the central theories related to this specialization option. The student possess at least an advanced beginner's skills in the practical tasks of the specialization option.
Learning to learn: Student assesses and develops his/her competence and learning methods in different learning environments.

Learning is guided both personally and in groups during the course classroom sessions and in the web-based learning environment.
