Objective

You know how to work as a member of a work community and in networks, and how to create connections in the working world. You understand the different stages of the job search process and know how to utilize your work experience in your career and study plans. You recognize work-related safety requirements and know how to take them into account in your own work.

EUR-ACE: Multidisciplinary competences
Demonstrates awareness of the health, safety and legal issues and responsibilities of the application of technology, the social and environmental impacts of technical solutions, and commitment to professional ethics, responsibility and standards of the application of technology. Able to recognize the need for independent lifelong learning and is also able to commit to lifelong learning.

EUR-ACE: Engineering practice
Ability to choose and use appropriate equipment, tools and methods. Ability to combine theory and practice to solve technical problems. Understanding of applicable techniques and methods and their limitations.

EUR-ACE: Communication and team-working
Ability to effectively communicate information, ideas, problems and solutions within the engineering community

Content

In this course, you will learn how to work as a member of a work community, network, and create connections in the working world. You will understand the different stages of the job search process and learn how to utilize your work experience in your career and study plans. You will become familiar with tools, working methods, equipment, software, and key safety requirements. A wide range of technical tasks are accepted for practical training, and there are no specific requirements for the workplace. In addition, tasks outside the field of technology are also accepted for practical training. Practical training can also be credited for previous work experience that the student has accumulated before starting their studies.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

You will be able to work as a member of a technical working community and in networks, and to establish contacts in working life. Understand the different stages of the job search process and be able to use work experience in career and study plans. You will be familiar with the tools, working methods, equipment and software used in your field, as well as with key safety requirements.
