Objective
The student is able to influence the risk factors of the most common national health concerns and s/he masters the prevention of them, using appropriate methods for different age groups and on the levels of individual, community and society. The student is able to estimate the health and functional ability of the clients and their need for rehabilitation. Based on the estimation, the student draws conclusions about the client’s situation, using evidence-based methods. S/he is able to assess the effectiveness of health care methods. S/he is capable of acting as a clinical specialist in the process of planning and developing the health promotion of a client, and assessment of health care and follow-up, related to the chosen area of expertise.

National health concerns, related risk factors, prevention, follow-up and treatment. Assessment of functional ability (ICF), reports, certifications, empowerment-based training, care chain related to national health concerns and multi-professional cooperation.

He/she is able to apply the knowledge collected by him/her to the theme area of the task at the descriptive level. Competence: Expresses his/her capacity for lifelong learning and continuous development of his/her vocational skills in the theme areas of the course. Demonstrates communication and linguistic skills required in working life through reporting on and presenting his/her course assignments and through using foreign language sources.

Is able to produce an analysis and synthesis of information read by him/her. Competence: Has a capacity for lifelong learning and continuous development of his/her vocational skills in the theme areas of the course. Demonstrates good communication and linguistic skills required in working life through reporting on and presenting his/her course assignments and through using foreign language sources.

Skills: The student is able to find evidence-based data in several databases and on the Internet as well as read international scientific articles with a critical approach and form an overall idea of the information collected by him/her. The student has formed an in-depth understanding of the theme area, and he/she is able to assess current practices and create new operating methods. Competence: Has a capacity for lifelong learning and continuous development of his/her vocational skills in the theme area of the course. Demonstrates excellent communication and linguistic skills required in working life through reporting on and presenting his/her course assignments, for example using foreign language sources.
