Objective

After completing the course, the student can: - Assess how and in which situations artificial intelligence can be responsibly utilised as part of nursing practice. - Use a selection of chosen AI tools. - Apply AI ethically and responsibly, taking into account patient privacy, data protection, and the environmental impacts of AI use. - Critically evaluate AI-generated information based on evidence, and utilise it in nursing practice, for example in decision-making and patient guidance.

Content

- Basic knowledge of artificial intelligence. - Each student selects the AI tools they wish to use during the course. It is recommended to use more than one AI tool. - Ethical and responsible aspects related to the use of AI. - Assignments related to the use of AI. Each assignment begins with instructions on how AI may be used for that specific task.

The studies allow for completion according to your own schedule.

Materials

Materials are on Moodle. Computer, laptop or ipad is needed, The mobile phone is not suitable for the assignments.

Teaching methods

The study is conducted online in the Moodle learning environment. The study is carried out independently at your own pace during the implementation period. The study does not include joint meetings or pair or group work. The student familiarizes themselves with the theoretical material, completes online assignments according to the given instructions. Student workload

The workload of the study is designed so that one credit corresponds to an average of 27 hours of student work to achieve the learning objectives. The actual time required varies individually, e.g., due to prior knowledge. 3 ects is calculated as 81 hours of student work.
