Evaluation methods and criteria
The module as a whole is assessed on a scale of 0-5. The assessment emphasises the written course assignments submitted during and at the end of the module, which are compared to the learning outcomes of the module. The assessment is influenced by: learning diary (30%), course essay (30%), the quality of the presentation and peer assessment of presentations (30%), and the student’s self-assessment (10%). The assessment criteria for the module can be found in the Study Guide.

Objective
• The student expands their professional competence to brand responsibility communication. • The student understands the importance of responsibility communication as part of a brand's successful operations and social responsibility. • The student is able to critically examine organizations’ responsibility communication in their field and to plan and manage the related development work, taking into account different communication channels and stakeholders. • The student understands different aspects of corporate social responsibility (CSR) reporting and the legislation behind CSR reporting obligation.

Location and time
Time: 2 April–1 June 2026. Venue: Teaching days will be organised in a hybrid format at the Arabia Campus in Helsinki and on Zoom (the link will be provided in Moodle). Some teaching days will be entirely remote. Teaching days: Thu 2 April 9:00–15:30 Fri 17 April 9:00–15:30 Fri 24 April 9:00–15:30 Fri 8 May 9:00–15:30 Schedule subject to change. Participation in hybrid teaching is possible either on campus or remotely via the Zoom video conferencing service. Students participating remotely are expected to have a functioning video and audio connection and to engage interactively. Recording of teaching sessions is prohibited. The visibility of the course is restricted in accordance with the Universities of Applied Sciences Act (Section 9). Teaching sessions may involve the discussion of participants’ personal experiences and, for example, thesis plans. Materials
Learning materials and literature will be distributed during the course on the Moodle learning platform. Some of the literature is in English.

Lectures, remote lectures, independent work and group work. Moodle serves as the learning platform for the course.

Qualifications
The course is aimed at master's level students (YAMK and equivalent) and requires work experience in the textile and clothing sector, as well as the ability to work independently, critically, and with a research and development orientation.
