Tavoitteet

The objective of the track is to equip the students with concepts, methods and tools needed in business development and research needed in technology- and knowledge-based business with a strong future-orientation. The approach of the course is based largely on a viewpoint of start-up and growth companies but achieved learning outcomes can also be applied in the context of established, mature companies.

The general criteria of the competences that the Bachelor's Degrees awarded by Finnish Universities of Applied Sciences provide can be found on JAMK's web pages. The learning outcomes of individual courses are assessed in relation to the objectives of the course concerned. Assessment is based on knowledge, skills and competence in accordance with the National and European Qualifications Framework, level 6
- Excellent (5) –The student shows exceptionally solid theoretical knowledge of fundamentals and development methods for Technology Business and Future Foresight. The student is able in an outstanding manner to identify and place into practice information-based findings. The student shows high-level ability to gather and analyze business data and critically review reference sources. Student shows high level of ability to identify managerial situations and propose viable solutions as a member multicultural team. Student is able to present in a convincing manner in oral and written English. - Very Good (4) –The student has above average level of theoretical knowledge and development methods of Technology business and Future Foresight. The student is able in a convincing manner to identify and place into practice information-based findings. The student demonstrates good ability analyze business data and critically review reference materials. Student shows good ability to identify and analyze managerial situations and propose viable solutions. Student shows ability over average of his/her peers to present in oral and written communications in English. - Good (3) The student shows solid theoretical knowledge of fundamentals and main development methods of Technology business and Future Foresight and capability in identifying and placing into practice information-based findings. The student demonstrates average level ability to gather and analyze business data and complex management situations from multiple perspectives and critically review references. Student is well able to identify and analyze managerial situations and propose viable solutions and can add value to the joint process of a multicultural team. Student is able to present in a good manner in oral and written English. - Satisfactory (2)- The student demonstrates capability to in mastering some key theoretical knowledge parts of fundamentals and development methods of Technology business and Future Foresight. The student shows some ability to identify and place into practice information-based findings of managerial challenges in Technology markets. The student demonstrates ability to gather and analyze business data and complex management situations from multiple perspectives and critically review reference sources of versatile nature. Student shows ability to identify and analyze most managerial situations and propose some viable solutions. Student can contribute to the joint process of a multicultural team. Student is able to present in relatively fluent way in oral and written English. Sufficient (1) - The student shows some but limited theoretical knowledge of fundamentals and development methods of Technology business and Future Foresight. The student is able identify some managerial challenges in Technology markets and is able to place into practice some information-based findings, but these skills need clear improvement The student shows some evidence in ability to analyze business data and complex Technology business management situations and critically review reference sources. Student is able to identify and analyze some managerial situations and propose partly viable solutions. Student can participate to the process of a multicultural team. Student is able to present in English orally and writing but needs improvement.
