Content scheduling

The lectures will be held on a weekly basis on a variety of topics. At the same time, the student will complete learning assignments/exercises in accordance with the given schedule. The pair assignments/exercises conducted in lieu of the weekly lectures will be separately agreed upon in connection with the classes

Objective

The object of the course
Company law is a legal area the knowledge of which will help you understand the operating practices of different companies and the significance of different legal forms of enterprise. You will need studies in company law especially when working as an entrepreneur and providing guidance in the setting up of a business, as well as when working in duties such as those related to corporate lending.

Business competence
The students know the central theories related to this specialisation option. The students possess at least an advanced beginner’s skills in the practical tasks of the specialisation option.

Student assesses and develops their competence and learning methods in different learning environments. Student is able to acquire, critically assess and appropriately apply the national and international knowledge base and practices of their field.

Is able to take responsibility for their own actions and their consequences and reflects on them in accordance with the ethical principles and values of their field.

Teaching methods

Opintojakso suoritetaan etänä. Ohjaus on Zoomissa / tallenteilla, ohjaukset tallennetaan. Opiskelu ei ole aikaan tai paikkaan sidottu muutamia tärkeitä päivämääriä lukuunottamatta (palautuspäivät ja tentti).Opintojakso suoritetaan osallistumalla luento-opetukseen (tallennetaan), joka toteutetaan verkkoluentoina (webinaari) / tallenteina, sekä itsenäisenä ulkopuolisten toimijoiden tarjoamien verkkoluentojen seuraamisena. Lisäksi opintojakso sisältää oppimis- ja harjoitustehtäviä, välitentin ja tentin.

Exam schedules

Kolme tenttikierrosta. Moodletentti, materiaalit sallittu. Tentti on auki vähintään 12 tuntia tenttipäivänä. Tenttin suoritusaika on 2 tuntia.

You are familiar with the main rules and legislation related to the setting up of a company.

You understand the differences between different legal forms and the related personal liabilities. You recognise the legal question at stake in the court case and the applicable points of law and are capable of resolving the case in accordance with the instructions provided. You are familiar with the main rules and legislation related to the setting up of a company and are able to set up a company.
