Objective
The student can independently plan, implement and assess the guidance and care relating to the promotion of the sexual and reproductive health of the woman and her partner as well as gynaecological nursing. The student is able to anticipate and identify changes in the woman’s condition and act accordingly with a multi-professional approach. He/she can establish a safe and confidential care relationship with the woman and her family, respecting the family’s cultural background. The student can act in accordance with the values and principles of midwifery and develop professionally.

Requirements for a passing grade
 
 Midwife’s professional conduct
 The student: 
 Is able to assume responsibility for his/her own actions and follow the agreed practices 
 Complies with the ethical principles of midwifery and the requirements of patient safety 
 Is able to act in a socially aware manner
 
 Midwifery client relationships
 The student: 
 Is capable of establishing a secure and confidential female/family-oriented collaboration relationship with clients/families from different cultural backgrounds 
 Is able to listen to the client and be situation-sensitive 
 Recognises matters that are difficult and sensitive and is capable of addressing them with the client 
 Is able to act in a resource-oriented manner to promote sexual and reproductive health and early interaction
 
 Midwife as a promoter of sexual and reproductive health and a clinical expert 
 The student:
 Recognises the care pathways related to the promotion of sexual and reproductive health
 Is able to show initiative and work independently and responsibly within the limits of his/her knowledge and skills, taking account of the stage of his/her studies 
 Is able to apply process thinking to the planning, implementation and assessment of midwifery 
 Is able to make partially independent, evidence-based decisions 
 Is able to provide resource-oriented, proactive and health-promoting guidance and to recognise risk factors related to sexual and reproductive health
 Masters the key research and methods of assistance in midwifery and the related treatment technology

 On the basis of self-evaluation, recognises his/her development needs and is able to assess his/her professionalism and resources in a reflective manner 
 Is able to develop his/her skills based on feedback and self-reflection
