Objective
The student masters 3D modeling. They are able to model simple solid parts and assemblies and create working drawings from a 3D model.
Knowledge and Understanding:
The student can model three-dimensional parts as desired and produce clear workshop drawings based on mechanical drawing standards.
Applying Technology in Practice:
The student can modify existing models and create new components, as well as produce workshop drawings.
Multidisciplinary Competence:
After completing the course, you can include images and technical documents in project and thesis work. You have the necessary knowledge and skills to handle models and create workshop drawings from them.
Content
3D modelling methods. The structure of the model and the use of a testing schematic as an aid. Drawing and assembly hierarchy. Creating drawings based on models and creating parts lists based on assembly drawings.
Location and time
Nonstop distance learning on your own computers
Materials
The study material has been published on the Moodle learning platform, where you can find video materials in Finnish.
Teaching methods
The course is studied independently. The use of the program and the learning assignments are instructed by videos. Learning assignments are returned to the learning platform.
Student workload
Independent work 27 hours.
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
The Inventor course enables you to start 3D design. You will learn how to model and understand the structure of a good 3D model so that it remains editable. Creating or modifying working drawings acts as a bridge to production. 3D printing is just around the corner.
Assessment criteria, approved/failed
The student is able to model the given assignments and make satisfactory workshop drawings based on them. Handing in assignments.
Qualifications
Basics of mechanical drawing and CAD.
Further information
The course cannot be completed as an optional course if the course TKKP0560 3D modelling is a compulsory course.
