* ymmärtää kansallisia ja kansainvälisiä energia-alan taustaohjausmekanismeja ja tulevaisuuden tavoitteita
* hallitsee kansallisen energiajärjestelmän toimintaympäristönä sekä energialiiketoiminnan periaatteita
* tuntee kansainvälistä energia-alan kehitystä sekä uuden teknologian mahdollisuuksia liiketoiminnassa.

* tunnistaa ja osaa hyödyntää energia-alan prosessin kehittämisessä laatuun, turvallisuuteen ja resurssitehokkuuteen liittyviä näkökulmia
* kykenee suunnittelemaan, toteuttamaan ja raportoimaan energialiiketoiminnan kehittämiseen kytkeytyvän projektin.
