Tavoitteet

This course has been designed as a starting point for understanding Finnish working life and building your career in Finland. The course has been authored by recruitment and career specialists and complemented with stories and experiences from Aalto University international alumni. Finland Works offers you a curated collection of insights on working in Finland in an easily accessible course format, which you can complete at your own time and pace.

Finland is known as the happiest country in the world and many characteristics of Finnish working life speak for a healthy work-life balance. Nevertheless, for many international workers getting that first chance in the Finnish labour market can be sometimes tricky. The course offers Finnish working life perspectives from societal, organisational and individual levels as well as practical know-how.

You are required to complete each chapter in order pass the course and achieve the certificate. Grading takes place during the month of May and December.

Competencies for the course are mentioned below:

Learning to learn:You develop critical and analytical mindset that helps you to study and review existing knowledge in the light of relevant learning resources and learning methods; you to acquire new knowledge; and develops your intellectual capabilities to seek conclusions and draw inferences in various contexts.

Proactive development:You develop solutions in the light of current as well as anticipated situations and challenges in business by applying knowledge, critical reasoning and analytical skills. You ensure that these solutions are feasible, relevant, creative, user-friendly, and sustainable as well as underline active cooperation among different actors.

Ei tenttiä, kurssin läpäiseminen vaatii MOOC-alustalta saadun oppimisen todentamisen eli suoritustodistuksen.

Toteutuksen valinnaiset suoritustavat

Sinulla on oikeus hakea opintojen tunnustamista, jos sinulla on aiempaa koulutusta (esim. muualla suoritettua yliopisto-opintoja), joka voidaan hyväksyä parhaillaan suorittamaasi tutkintoon.
Aiemman oppimisen tunnustaminen on mahdollista kolmella ensisijaisella tavalla: akkreditoinnilla (korvaaminen tai inkluusio), arkioppimisen tunnustaminen ja opiskelu. Tarkemmat tiedot: JAMKin tutkintosäännöt, kohta 17.

1 op vastaa 27 työtuntia, joten 2 op vaatii 54 tuntia.

Arviointikriteeri, hyväksytty/hylätty

The course is an online offering from Aalto university, therefore to pass the course you are required to upload the certificate of the completion of the course in Future of Work and Finland Studies. You can complete the course at your own pace, after the completion of the course, you are required to submit the certificate to the Moodle workspace mentioned below (enrollment key: Finland).
