VHDL DesignLaajuus (5 cr)
Course unit code: IIE13100
General information
- Credits
- 5 cr
- Teaching language
- Finnish
Objective
Upon completion of the course, the students know the structures, methods and use of the design tools of FPGA circuits. FPGA circuits are programmed in the VHDL language. The basics of the language are learned through the programming of an autorobot. The students understand the differences between processors and FPGA circuits and can choose a circuit for different applications.
Content
- basics of VHDL language,
- structures of FPGA circuits,
- design environment
Qualifications
Basics of digital and analog technologies
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
The grade is based mainly on the quality of the autonomous robot. The exam must also be accepted
Excellent (5) The robot works according to demands, the program is modularly and the system is well documented.
Good (3-4) The robot works partly according to demands and the documented is imperfect
Satisfactory (1-2) The robot works imperfectly and the structure if the program does not correspond to demands.
