Objective
The student
-develops his/her expertise in a chosen field, in the public sector, an organization or a company.
- is able to evaluate his/her work and competency by reflecting it critically and is able to recognize the development needs related to his/her profession as a public health nurse as well as to his/her expertise in promoting health and s/he prepares a competency development plan for himself/herself.
- has the capabilities to develop his/her health care work, and they make constructive suggestions to development health care work.
- has internalized an exploratory and evidence based work approach and has an entrepreneurial attitude towards work.

Qualifications
The student masters the basics of nursing and has theoretical and clinical competency in the fields of health promotion, nursing related to national health concerns, families and communities, evidence based nursing and developing health care expertise, and s/he is able to operate in different health care settings.
Drug calculation examination passed.

Pass (S)
The student has an advanced knowledge base of public health nursing and a critical understanding of the theories and operating principles of the field. The student is able to form personal knowledge based on the international and the latest knowledge base of public health nursing. He/she is able to assess it critically and shows creative thinking. The student is able to apply the information acquired by him/her in a versatile manner to complete relevant learning assignments in cooperation with others. He/she is able to use information and communication technology to acquire, edit, produce and communicate information in a way that promotes new ways of action. He/she presents information in communication situations related to public health nursing in an excellently structured manner, making connections with the future information needs of the field.
The student is able to draw on the skills acquired and demonstrated by him/her to solve even unexpected problems in his/her field innovatively, creating new ways of action and new perspectives for work processes. The student is able to draw on his/her skills to develop public health nursing practice, and is able to showcase these skills in new forums relevant to working life using relevant presentation methods. The student is able to assess his/her skills and the information he/she has acquired comprehensively, critically and instructively. On this basis, he/she is able to prepare a plan for further improving his/her skills as part of a more extensive setting of the work organisation. The skills demonstrated by the student clearly exceed the basic requirements of the profession and contribute new, creative competence to the field.
The student takes initiative in assuming responsibility for professional assignments and projects of the organisation, demonstrating an instructive and entrepreneurial work approach. He/she is able to lead development projects and to comprehensively and critically apply the knowledge base of his/her field and information and communication technology to these projects. The student is able to act skilfully and in a customer-oriented manner and take various cultural differences into account in multidisciplinary and possibly multicultural teams. The student is able to assess his/her own competence and development analytically and on this basis, draw up a development plan for himself/herself. The student is able to act in an entrepreneurial manner and is familiar with the principles of business.

The student has not mastered the basic knowledge of public health nursing practice. The minimum requirements of the degree (EQF 6) are not met.
The student does not have skills to solve problems related to public health nursing, especially in unexpected situations. He/she risks or neglects customer safety and violates the confidentiality rule.

The student does not demonstrate an ability to assume his/her share of responsibility for professional assignments and projects. The student avoids and/or is indifferent to the patient/customer. His/her behaviour is unprofessional (language, clothing, intoxicants). The student acts irresponsibly and passively in relation to the operating principles of the training unit (e.g. observance of working times). He/she does not perceive the level of his/her competence or learning needs, and is unable to make use of feedback. The student exceeds his/her authority. He/she has a negative attitude to his/her learning. The minimum requirements of the degree (EQF 6) are not met.
