Objective
The students know the concepts occupation, activity and task. They can do activity analyses and scale operations according to client-based theories of occupational therapy. The students can observe human occupational performance and, based on that, make assessments and analysis on that. They know the basics of client-based assessment of occupational therapy and some structured assessment methods. The studens can understand and assess the significance of adaptation and environment on human occupation.
Together with the client, they can choose, based on activity analysis and assessment, meaningful and purposeful occupational therapy occupations for the client. The studends are able to explain what makes occupation therapeutic and they know the basic of the recording.
They can assess hand functionality and make splints and orthoses.

Qualifications
The students know the basics of anatomy and physiology. They master the ideological starting points and central concepts of occupational therapy and client-based occupational therapy process.

Advanced expert (5-4)
The student has mastered the concept and taxonomy of occupation and applies these fluently in course assignments. He/she is able to analyse, stagger and adapt activities fluently and consciously following client-oriented occupational therapy theories, recognising the theory selected by him/her. The student understands the significance of the environment to occupation and is able to modify it to facilitate the occupation of an individual. He/she is skilled in observing and assessing occupation, making use of various assessment methods. The student is familiar with the central reliability factors associated with assessment methods. Together with the client, the student is able to select occupations to be implemented in therapy that are relevant and appropriate for the client and to justify the selection, drawing on theoretical knowledge of occupational theory. The student is able to justify the therapeutic nature of occupation. The student has mastered the basics of recording. The student is able to assess hand functionality and prepare splints and orthoses.
Improving expert (3)
The student has mastered the concept and taxonomy of occupation and applies these in course tasks. He/she is able to analyse, stagger and adapt activities consciously following client-oriented occupational therapy theories, recognising the theory selected by him/her. The student is aware of the significance of the environment to occupation and is able to modify it to facilitate the occupation of an individual. He/she is skilled in observing and assessing occupation, making use of a handful of assessment methods. The student is familiar with the central reliability factors associated with assessment methods. Student with basic skills (1-2)
The student understands the concept of occupation. He/she is able to analyse and stagger activities following a certain theory of client-centered occupational therapy. The student understands the singificance of the environment to occupation. He/she is able to observe and assess occupation, making use of a handful of assessment methods. Together with the client, the student is able to select occupations to be implemented in therapy that are relevant and appropriate for the client. The student recognises aspects that make occupation therapeutic. The student is familiar with the basics of recording.
The students is familiar with the principles of assessing hand functionality and preparing splints/orthoses.
Fail (0) The student does not understand the concept of occupation. There are major shortcomings in analysing and staggering activities. He/she does not take into account the perspective of client-orientedness and/or the theory of occupational therapy in the analysis. The significance of the environment from the perspective of occupation is unstructured. The student finds observing and assessing occupation a challenge. The student finds selecting occupations to be implemented in therapy that are relevant and appropriate for the client together with the client challenging. The student is not able to name the factors that make occupation therapeutic.
The student finds assessing hand functionality challenging. The student does not know the basic principles of preparing a splint and an orthosis.
