Objective

The student understands the limitations of embedded programming and is able to design a simple embedded device. The student is able to study and analyze the technical readiness of the device and develop it further.

Content

The course contains programming of a microcontroller’s basic functions and control of actuators utilizing a processor.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Excellent 5: In addition to the aforementioned, the student has read up on memory structures of microcontroller and is able to utilize them in his/her work.

Very good 4: The student has a good command of the basics of modular design and is able to produce right kind of architecture related program.

Good 3: In addition to the aforementioned, the student has read up on the structure of microcontroller and actuators versatilely and is able to utilize them in practice.

Satisfactory 2: In addition to the aforementioned, the student is able to develop the features of the built device in program related way.

Sufficient 1: The student is able to build, program and make an embedded device function. In this case, the device is small-scale and the program code only indicates the basic function of the device.

Fail 0: The student does not meet the minimum criteria set for the course.
