Objective

The student knows how to layout various print products taking into consideration the requirements of basics of typography, printing technology and post processing. The student knows how to turn repetitive work into a format in which it can be easily updated. The student understands the different material requirements for various media.

Content

The basics to be considered during layout design, such as the common settings for templates, text, columns and baseline grids. Utilizing paragraph, character and object styles. Tabs and tables. Color, pdf and test run settings. Technical requirements for image files.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

All assignments must be handed in in the requested format and completed to suit their purpose.

Qualifications

No prerequisites. The course is also suitable for people who have already used the program.
