Objective
The student understands the significance of the business information systems to all business operations. The student masters a holistic view on the structures and operations of a business information system. The student recognizes the most common business applications and can transfer information from one system to another one. The student can operate with different information systems and produce reports and data for both operative and strategic decision making.

How to perceive and create descriptions of different business processes

Information about the exam will be given in learning platform workspace. Re-sit dates of the exam will be announced in the beginning of the course in the workspace.

Student has difficulties with understanding the structure of an information system and the connection to the common business operations.
Student is not able to operate independently with any business information system. Studen t is not able to transfer information and data between various information systems even if there is supervision provided.

Student can operate with a company´s business information system with supervision.
Student understands the general structures of an information system and understands the significance of reporting.
Student has difficulties producing reports and transferring information and data between various information systems.

Student can operate independently with a company´s business information system. Student understands the general operations of an information system. Student recognizes various business processes and understands the interfaces between different processes. Student is able to produce a basic report from an information system when supervised. Student is able to transfer information and data between various information systems by using common office applications supervised.
