Evaluation scale

Pass/Fail

Objective

You will become familiar with an electrical engineering in building project from the perspective of implementation. Studying in this course requires knowledge of electrical engineering. This course provides the skills needed for projects in this field of engineering.

EUR-ACE ENGINEERING PRACTICE
You are able to create documentation related to the building's electrical systems. The documentation consists of a grounding diagram, switchboard schematic, electrical floor plan and various lists.

EA-CT COMMUNICATION AND TEAM-WORKING
Yo have the ability to communicate effectively about information, ideas, problems and solutions in the project team. You know how to work effectively as an individual and as a member of a project team.

Content

Introduction to building electrical engineering software
Considering the initial data of an electrical engineering in building project
Setting up a project team and work task assignments
Planning, monitoring and reporting of the planning project
Producing engineering project documentation
Quality assessment of project documentation

Materials

Learning environment (Moodle) materials

Teaching methods

Problem-based learning is used as a learning method. Learning takes place through independently fulfilled and returned learning tasks. The completion of the learning tasks is guided by the video instructions and during the contact lessons. Project work is included in this study unit.

Employer connections

Working life cooperation is carried out in the project in the form of CADMATIC Electrical training.

Completion alternatives

Project work (no examination)

Student workload

The total calculated workload for a student is 81 hours of coursework.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

To pass this course you need to master the use of an electrical engineering in buildings software and you are able to create electrical documentation of buildings as part of a project team. You are able to make progress at different stages of the project using professional communication and participate in the evaluation of the quality of the documentation.

Qualifications

Basic knowledge of electrical engineering

Further information

Self-assessments are mainly done through the learning tasks. The assessment decision is based on the skills demonstrated in the project work.
