You are capable of applying evidence-based ways of physiotherapy intervention in functional limitations related to the central and peripheral nervous system. You are capable of utilising assistive technology, virtual environments and robotics to support the physical activity and functional capacity of clients.

Competences:
Assessment of functioning competence
Therapy competence
Technology and accessibility competence

Content

CONTENT:
Assessment of the functioning of a client with a neurological condition and the extensive scope of rehabilitation. The opportunities of physiotherapy to exert influence on neurological and cognitive symptoms resulting from nervous system disorders and changes in psychomotorics, such as muscle tone, coordination, attention, perception and communication disorders. Special features of physiotherapy for paediatric and adult clients with a neurological condition. (Preterm born children, CP and attention deficit disorders, ADHD, developmental coordination disorders, children with MMC, muscular diseases and autism. Cerebrovascular disorders, brain injury, Parkinson’s disease, MS and spinal cord injury patients as well as patients with neuropathy and peripheral nerve injury)
