Objective

The student knows the significance of organic production in Finland and in the EU, as well as the prerequisites for production. The student is able to make a plan for the transitional stage of a company initiating organic production. They know how to organize field cultivation and domestic animal production on an organic production farm.

Developing performer 3-4: In addition to the aforementioned, knows the significance of organic production in the EU, its monitoring system and the transitional stage process.

Competent performer 5: In addition to the aforementioned, has a holistic mastery of organic production at farm level.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

Approved: The student knows the basics of organic production and the significance of organic production in the EU, the control system and the events of transition. The student will master the whole of organic production at the farm level.
