The possibility to fulfill your own dreams and ideas motivates you to good performance and success. On compliance of this course you have a tested and feasible business plan based on your own business idea.

Learning outcomes
Based on your own dreams, ideas and interests you have a business idea, from which during this course you plan a customer-based bioeconomy product or service and design a profitable business model. You will refine your business idea piece by piece during your study. On different courses you can do outputs that suits for your business plan, for example cropping, feeding and marketing plan, product profit and pricing calculations, plans for production technology and energy use. During the bioeconomy business piloting you can test the customer need of your business idea, make product development, experiment different methods in production processes or face some other arising challenges. In your thesis you can apply yourself to research important problems coming up from your business idea. On practical trainings you can familiarize yourself with the methods in the field of business and create networks. You make your tested business plan by putting together all the know-how you have got during your study and which is related to your business idea. For your business plan you are able to do financial plans, such as profitability, liquidity, investment and financing calculations.
Content
You may outline your business plan as you wish as long as all issues below are included in it one way or another. You can widen, condense or join together themes. The content of the business plan:
1. Business idea, innovation
2. Business model
3. Product or service, value proposition
4. Customers, market analysis
5. Market situation, competitors
6. Sales and marketing: customer relationship, channels, communications, pricing
7. Production: production processes, facilities, location, means of production, capital requirement, product development
8. Human resources: employees, company form, organization and management, human resource development
9. Partners and stakeholders
10. Revenues and costs, financial plan: profitability, liquidity, investment and financing calculations
11. Risks and outlines
12. Self-evaluation: your own know-how, SWOT-analysis of yourself and your business, conclusions of you business plan
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
Sufficient 1: You can do a feasible business plan based on your own business idea. You give your reasons for your decisions based on analyses and testing, but some of them are narrow and inadequate. You know how user oriented design and testing support business plan.
Satisfactory 2: You can do a feasible business plan based on your own innovative business idea. You give your reasons for your decisions based on adequate analyses and testing.
Assessment criteria, good (3)
Good 3: You can do a feasible and competitive business plan based on your own innovative business idea. You give your reasons for your decisions based on wide and versatile analyses and testing. You make the business plan independently.
Very good 4: You can do a feasible and competitive business plan based on your own innovative business idea. You give your reasons for your decisions based on wide and versatile analyses and testing. Your conclusions are logical, strategically reasonable and convincing. You make the business plan independently.
