Oppimateriaali ja suositeltava kirjallisuus

The primary tool used on the course is Blender (2.9+ series), which is a free open source 3D modeling package. Steam version is highly recommended as it updates to latest version automatically, but students without an account may download the standalone version from https://www.blender.org/. Other software such as Adobe Substance Painter or Photoshop may be briefly used on the course, but using them is optional and won't be required for a passing grade.

Teaching methods

The course is delivered via Moodle as self-paced MOOC, with written and video materials available. Possible live zoom lectures and help sessions are announced beforehand in the workspace.

Exam schedules

The course has no exams. To pass, the student completes a final assignment which includes a game-ready asset and a short report on the methods and techniques used. Small per-module tasks and questionnaires must be completed to receive a grade.

Content scheduling

The five study credits reserved for the course correspond roughly to 135 hours of work.
