Purpose
The purpose of the course is to describe how technological solutions and digitalisation can be used to maintain and promote the well-being and functioning of individuals.

You understand the possibilities of rehabilitation and well-being technology in maintaining and promoting the well-being and functioning of individuals. You can apply technological solutions as part of rehabilitation, counselling and advice to support or promote the client's functioning. You can describe the potential of robotics, virtual environments and gamification to support and promote well-being and functioning

Content

The course focuses on various technological solutions which can support and promote individual well-being and functioning.
Assistive devices (orthoses, supports, braces) and ergonomic solutions for the client.
Accessibility and design of an accessible environment.
Well-being and rehabilitation robotics, virtual environments.

You can summarise and compare how different technological solutions can be used to maintain and promote person's functioning and well-being. You can use wellness -, rehabilitation -and assistive technology appropriately and patient-safely and justify your choices. You can describe use of robotics, virtual environments and gamification in the maintenance and promotion of well-being and functioning. You can justify the use of technological solutions as part of a holistic rehabilitation approach.
