Objective

After completing the course, you have acquired an understanding of the prerequisites for a successive creative process. You are able to turn your musical ideas into finished pieces of music alone and/or as a part of a co-writing team. You are able to write according to the chosen style, if necessary.

You know how to sketch, record and edit the compositions and arrangements you make using a computer and/or a mobile device. You are able to post-process your creations, and turn them into listenable audio files that are easy to duplicate and share.

You are able to conduct a simple music production project while respecting copyright laws.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

Pass (S):
You write unique music creatively, creating stylistically and artistically complete musical entities. When writing, you are able to look at your music from different perspectives, as well as make corrections to it to achieve the desired result, as commissioned by the client. You apply your previously acquired skills of music theory, analysis, ear training, and transcription to your writing work, and you develop your working methods continuously.

You sketch, edit and record your music with the help of appropriate technology, so that the end result is a product suitable for the commercialization of your own skills and other portfolio use. You schedule, budget and manage your projects in a relevant and productive way. You act in an ethically acceptable manner, and are aware of the copyright issues associated with writing and publishing your own music.
