Objective
You will get to know the electricity transmission and distribution networks as well as the different forms of electricity production. Studying in this course requires planning skills in electrical engineering.
EUR-ACE ENGINEERING PRACTICE
You outline the basic structure of the electricity transmission and distribution network and know their basic components. You know the basic components used in high voltage technology and their applications. You know the basic protection methods used in the electricity transmission and distribution network, such as short-circuit and earth-fault relay protection. You identify the requirements set by decentralized electricity generation for the control and structure of the electricity network. You know how to dimension and select equipment and components using techno-economic principles. You have knowledge of the protections and control of electricity distribution devices and switchgear as well as electrical systems.
