Objective
Purpose of the course:
After completing this course, you will have learned how to use carbon and water footprint calculators and how to use the latest statistics and research on greenhouse gas emissions in Finland and other countries. You will also have learned about good offset practices in voluntary greenhouse gas offsetting. You will be able to act responsibly towards water in your professional field and understand the importance of ecosystem services.

You know the effects of climate change on people and the environment. You know the risks associated with the use of water resources and know how to act responsibly. You know the basics of carbon footprint calculation and you know which factors affect the water footprint of different products. Content
The contents of the course include the effects of climate change, carbon footprint, voluntary compensation of greenhouse gas emissions, water responsibility, water footprint and ecosystem services. You will also learn about the use of carbon and water footprint calculators.
