Objective

Purpose of the course
After completing the course you will have an overview of the importance of bioeconomy in Finland. You understand the concept of bioeconomy and the importance of agricultural and forestry production in biomass production. You are familiar with the importance of energy and water production in the rural environment.

The student understands the concept of bioeconomy and its significance from the perspective of natural resources sector. The student has developed an understanding of the history, present and future of bioeconomy in Finland. The student knows the main biomass resources and their uses. The student knows the importance of renewable energy and water supply in the rural environment.
