Masters challenging situations in counselling with professionalism. Applies advanced expert knowledge in designing, choosing, and conducting patient education methods to enhance the self-care of clients with a chronic condition and in the prevention and care of infectious diseases. Effectively communicates and justifies decisions concerning the outcomes of clinical examination. Creates, develops, and critically evaluates evidence-based counselling interventions as well as educational e-health and other digital material aimed at different types of patient groups. |

Health assessment and direct clinical care
Demonstrates advanced skills and knowledge in comprehensive history taking and holistic clinical examination of the patient’s health status. Identifies, evaluates, and synthesizes valid conclusions concerning the health situations and state of health/illness of a client by autonomous clinical decision-making. Possesses advanced skills and knowledge in identifying health risk factors and can evaluate the determinants of health that may influence the patient's wellbeing. Integrates findings of population health data using relevant sources to impact nursing practice. Integrates a body of evidence from clinical nursing guidelines and other evidence-based sources into decision-making. Takes responsibility of independent decisions as an advanced nurse practitioner concerning the selection of appropriate nursing interventions and monitoring tools. Provides person-centred care by developing a mutually acceptable, cost-effective, and evidence-based care plan. Demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and competencies necessary for independent clinical practice. |
