Objective

Purpose of the course:

Conflict management skills are relevant from the perspective of organizations, work communities, teams, projects and individuals. It can be used in responsible management and project management positions to improve the working atmosphere and the realisation of ethical values, as well as to promote cooperation between different stakeholders.

You are able to prevent conflicts by identifying them at an early stage.
You will develop your communication and conversational skills in conflict management.
You are able to apply different conflict resolution methods and resolve conflicts in different situations.
You recognize ethical issues in conflict management and are able to make relevant ethical decisions, taking into account individual, communal and societal perspectives.
You will develop your ability to reflect on your conflict management skills, which you will demonstrate through critical self-assessment.

Adequate 1
You recognize and define the concept of conflict management. You summarize the essential theory of the topic/phenomenon, the connection of which to conflict management is partly inadequate. You listen to others and express your point of view clearly. You are able to follow the given conflict management instructions. You recognize ethical principles in conflict management and are able to describe their significance. You will compile the reference material from a few key research articles and non-fiction books suitable for the phenomenon. You're writing unstructured text with a variety of repetitive language and style errors. You follow the reporting instructions inadequately.

Satisfactory 2
You classify key conflict management concepts. You inform others clearly. You ask the participants' perspectives on conflict resolution. You are able to act in familiar conflict situations. You are able to draw conclusions about the use of ethical principles in conflict management. The decisions you make or consider are fair and just. You are able to acquire reference material from key research articles and non-fiction books suitable for the phenomenon. You mainly use original sources. You're writing partially unstructured text with various language and style errors.

Good 3
You are able to define and differentiate conflict management concepts and link them to the promotion of sustainable development. You understand the relevant knowledge base, which is limited from the point of view of the topic and the phenomenon being discussed. You are able to appreciate others and negotiate conflict-related issues. You are able to express your own point of view on the conflict while taking others into account. You are able to anticipate conflicts and apply different methods. You are able to analyze the entirety of ethical principles and take them into account at different stages of conflict management.
