Objective

The students are capable of making music alone and with others with the help of digital applications and instruments. They are able to edit the music they produce and process it into an easily distributed format.

The students are able to save, edit and distribute images, video, and sound with the help of digital technology. They are able to utilise music and video streaming services in teaching, with respect for copyrights.

The students are familiar with digital applications suitable for music theory, ear training, and instrumental studies as well as the technological solutions commonly used in teaching and performance situations. They are able to write, edit, read and listen to sheet music with the help of information technology.

The students are aware of social media peer groups, online communities and learning management systems in the music industry, and are able to utilise them in their own teaching, as necessary, according to principles of lifelong learning.

The students are capable of choosing appropriate pedagogical and technological solutions to support learning and utilising the opportunities provided by new technology in the development of learning environments.

The students are able to further develop available music education technology as well as their own actions and those of their work community to meet the changing needs of working life. They are fluent in oral and written communication and contribute to the development of multidisciplinary communication and interaction in working life.

The students demonstrate their competence by completing their learning assignments expertly and by gathering feedback on the development of their competence through peer and self-evaluation.

Pass (S):
The students master essential music education technology terminology, in addition to being familiar with a wide range of electronic applications intended for learning different aspects of music. They understand the opportunities provided by new technology as well as the possible technical constraints. They find pedagogically sound technological solutions for learning and teaching their own musical specialty. The students are able to produce electronic learning materials by using up-to-date technology and compatible peripherals to achieve the desired end result. During the course, the students participate in teamwork in a responsible manner so that their contribution has a positive effect on the end result. The students communicate clearly and fluently. They utilise information and communication technology in their reporting and communication in an appropriate manner.
