Objective

The student understands the importance of international presence and competition for a technology- and knowledge-based company. The students are able to analyze the development phases and lifecycles of technologies, market and companies when entering and growing in global market. Students are able to analyze the operating environment, decide and implement strategic pathways in the global market. Students also learn to anticipate upcoming changes in technologies and their impact to business.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

1 (Sufficient):
The student understands the importance of internationalization in the strategic management of a technology-based company. Student masters the key concepts involved, is able to perform a basic analysis and propose some alternative actions.

2 (Satisfactory):
The student is familiar with the basic knowledge and terminology of business management in international technology company and can analyze and implement operations for a company based on information on various areas of business management.

3 (Good):
The student analyze the current status of a technology firm and make development proposals for management in internationalizing technology company. Student can use the knowledge in proposing and applying some justified actions for international business development of a firm.
4 (Very good): The student can in a realistic way assess the current status and operating of a technology-based company as well as identify and develop strategically aligned actions improving the international opportunities for the company.

5 (Excellent): The student is able to conduct a a covering analysis of a technology-based company and its operating environment. Student is able to create and implement an internationalization strategy including several areas of management for a technology company based on knowledge and analysis.
