Objective

You will understand the basic principles of raw material management and understand the significance of softwood and hardwood raw materials in the forest industry’s bio-product processes. In addition, you will familiarize with the basic processes of the pulp mill’s fiber and recovery line and understand the connections between raw material consumption, pulp quality, and energy production. Based on these, you will also form an understanding of the formation of pulp quality.

From this course, you will gain basic knowledge of the forest industry’s bio-product processes, which are useful in your future tasks whether you work in the forest industry’s production, equipment design, environmental management, sales and marketing, research and development, or logistics.

Content

Sustainability in the forest industry's wood procurement, pulp manufacturing processes, and the significance of sustainable energy production in pulp manufacturing.
