Objective

The aim of the course is to describe occupation and the situational elements as well as occupational therapy in supporting everyday life. On completion of the course, you will know the elements of occupation and situational context an how those are interwoven to each other. You will learn what occupational therapy is and how occupational therapist enables people to achieve their occupational goals.

Student understands what occupation means and what situational elements are. Student understands the dynamic relationship between occupation and situational elements. The student can describe the different aspects of occupation. She/he knows the steps of the intervention process in occupational therapy and can describe the intervention methods used in occupational therapy to enable occupation throw client-centred and occupation-based intervention process.
