Objective
In this course, you will learn the fundamentals of the Swedish language. After completing the course, you will be able to introduce yourself, and talk about your family and hobbies. You will also be able to use Swedish in simple situations related to shopping, dining, and for traveling. In addition, you will become familiar with numbers, expressing time, personal pronouns, nouns, verbs, adjectives, word order and prepositions.
Content
Would you like to study Swedish from the very beginning? Has it been a long time since you previously studied Swedish? Has learning Swedish been challenging for you?
If you answered "yes", this course may be right for you!
In the course "Ruotsia nollasta" you will begin to study Swedish from the beginning.
You will learn:
- basic vocabulary
- vocabulary and phrases related to communicating information about yourself, your hobbies, and your family
- greetings and basic language related to shopping, dining and traveling
- basics of Swedish grammar
After completing this course it is recommended that you in addition participate on remedial Swedish offered by your school, before you participate on the compulsory course of Swedish belonging to your university studies.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed
Pass:
You can talk and write about yourself and your family, your hobbies, studies, and work. You can handle simple situations when shopping, dining out, and traveling. You have a basic understanding of the basics of Swedish language grammar. You have completed the assignments and exams of the course successfully
Fail:
The level of competence does not reach the minimum requirements, or the assignments and exams of the course have not been successfully completed.
