Objective
Student
- identifies the knowledge management as part of management and operation of the workday
- understands the different dimensions of the knowledge management as a part of change, development and customer service in the work community
- knows the essential quality elements, recommendations and quality systems
- is able to maintain and to participate to the quality development in his/her own work organization
Content
Social capital of organizations, information and knowledge processes
Identification, management and developing of the knowledge intensive organization
Quality and identification of quality systems and developing and management of the quality
Essential quality recommendations of the health care and social services
Furthermore, during the study module student will be acquainted of the current practice based and scientific discussion of the knowledge management and quality management of social services and health services.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student has mastered, on an adequate level, some of the basics and tools of knowledge management and quality thinking. The student recognises some of the construction and maintenance mechanisms of knowledge management and quality thinking. The student is able to describe elements of knowledge management and quality thinking.
2 (Satisfactory)
The student has mastered, on a satisfactory level, the basics of knowledge management and quality thinking, and can apply their tools and methods on some level in a working life-oriented way. The student recognises construction and maintenance mechanisms of knowledge management and quality thinking. The student recognises the connections of knowledge management and quality thinking with developing the quality and operations of the work community.
3 (Good)
The student has mastered, on a good level, the basics of knowledge management and quality thinking, and can apply their tools and methods in a working life-oriented way. The student recognises the key construction and maintenance mechanisms of knowledge management and quality thinking and can apply them in his/her work. The student has mastered the decision-making associated with knowledge management and quality thinking, which supports the successful operations and quality of the work community.
4 (Very good)
The student has mastered, on a very good level, the basics of knowledge management and quality thinking, and can apply their tools and methods in a working life-oriented way. The student knows the key construction and maintenance mechanisms of knowledge management and quality thinking and can apply them in his/her work.
