Objective
This course is part of the module Values and Knowledge Base of Nursing. After completing the Starting Points in Social and Health Care course, you: - understand the importance of promoting planetary health and well-being and the nursing science as part of nursing - know the values and ethical principles of social welfare and health care and nursing and are able to identify and deal with ethical problems - understand the service structure of healthcare and social welfare and the tasks of different service units as part of the care and service chain and sustainable welfare policy - understand the legislation governing the field - know the prerequisites for human growth, development and well-being.

Pass - To be completed - Fail Pass: - You have achieved the goals set for the course and successfully completed the learning tasks. - You can describe the basic concepts of planetary health and well-being promotion, as well as the significance of evidence-based nursing. - You recognize the legislation, values, and ethical principles guiding the social and health sector and nursing as part of sustainable welfare policy. - You know the tasks of different operational and service units as part of the care and service chain. - You are familiar with the basics of legislation guiding services and patient/client work. - You recognize the main features of growth and development and the prerequisites for well-being.
