Objective

The students know the phases of the research processes supporting development work, their research strategies and alternatives for data collection. They can choose a suitable research approach and methods for their thesis, apply them, and justify their choices. They can also critically evaluate the reliability, strengths and weaknesses of their thesis, as well as the usability of the results. They can utilize the software used for quantitative and qualitative research.

Content

Quantitative research:
- quantitative research methods
- research form, sample, scales
- analysis methods of research data: tabulation, parameters, tests, correlation and regression analysis
- table interpretation techniques
- computer exercises and applications (quantity and quality)

Qualifications

The students master the basics of statistical research and have a sufficient theoretical basis in a chosen area of business competence.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Assessment is based on written exams, assignments and active participation.
